Stephen W. Mr. Sather is board-certified in business bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification and the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Sather is admitted to practice in the state courts of Texas, the U.S. district courts for the northern, southern, eastern and western districts of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Sather has tried or settled numerous proceedings and appeared in front of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit more than 15 times.

Professional organizations that Mr. Sather belongs to include the Austin Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar College and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is a lifetime fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a member of the bankruptcy section executive council for the Commercial Law League of America and was a founding member of the Honorable Larry E.
