After receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University, Ms. Raines went on to attend SMU Dedman School of Law. While in law school, she served as the editor of the SMU Law Review before being awarded her Juris Doctor with honors in 1993. Admitted to practice in Texas, she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Ms. Raines has provided exceptional advocacy for her clients over her years of practice. She has worked on the firm's team that has handled investigations and litigation involving the BP Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico - the largest environmental legal matter in United State history. Ms. Raines has also represented officers and directors of public companies in cases involving alleged violations of state and federal securities laws and breaches of fiduciary duty, as well as hedge funds and other investment firms in regulatory actions involving unauthorized trading and fraud.

The many successful results that Ms. Raines has obtained for her clients have earned her the recognition of her fellow professionals.
