Details
Nida Wood is the managing partner of Abercrombie Sanchez & Wood Law PLLC in The Woodlands, Texas. Over the past decade, she has developed a reputation in the legal community for helping clients with domestic relations matters, including divorce, child custody and support, domestic violence, adoption, fathers’ rights, military divorce and same-sex marriage through trials, appeals, mediation and collaborative law.
A dedicated and understanding legal professional, Ms. Wood provides customized representation to clients, explaining all minute details about the available strategies and tactics based on her solid legal background. Committed to ensuring that her clients’ rights are protected at all times, she goes the extra mile at trials and pretrials to disqualify the opposing side’s witnesses and evidence, forcing the court to focus on legitimate issues.
With a major in political science and a minor in psychology, Ms. Wood obtained her bachelor’s degree in 2006 from the University of Houston, featuring on the dean’s list. She then proceeded to earn her Juris Doctor from the South Texas College of Law Houston in 2009. Besides studying abroad in Innsbruck, Austria, and under the U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, she clerked for another prominent judge and worked for respected Houston attorneys as a law student.
Prior to joining the current law firm as a partner, Ms. Wood served for a prestigious domestic litigation firm, handling a diverse range of family law matters, including estates worth millions of dollars. Eligible to practice in Texas, she maintains active involvement in several professional organizations such as the Texas Bar College, the Montgomery Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas’ Family Law Section. She has also developed course content and presented at CLE events on complex litigation and evidentiary issues.
