Chad Pinkerton is the founder of The Pinkerton Law Firm, PLLC, located in Houston, Texas. He focuses his practice on plaintiff's personal injury litigation, representing area clients who have been harmed by the negligence of others in cases involving motor vehicle accidents, defective drugs and other products, workplace toxic exposure and industrial accidents. In one of his landmark cases, he obtained a multimillion-dollar settlement for his clients who were injured in the 2005 BP Texas City explosion.
As an undergraduate, Mr. Pinkerton attended Texas Tech University and received a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in 1996. He then obtained a Master of Physical Therapy from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1999. After working in the area of orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, Mr. Pinkerton pursued his legal education at the University of Houston Law Center and was awarded his Juris Doctor summa cum laude in 2004. While in law school, he served as an editor on the Houston Law Review. After graduation, at which he was elected to the Order of the Coif, Mr. Pinkerton spent two years at a plaintiff's personal injury law firm before founding his current firm in 2006. Admitted to practice in Texas, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas.
In addition to the BP settlement, Mr. Pinkerton has obtained many other sizable settlements and jury awards on behalf of his plaintiff clients. As a result, he is a member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Mr. Pinkerton is an active participant in several other professional organizations, including the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.
