Attorney Profile

Craig D. Dillard dedicates his practice at Gardere to helping clients resolve employment and commercial litigation disputes. As a trial attorney and partner at the firm, Mr. Dillard focuses on providing a proactive, creative and practical approach for his wide-ranging client base that includes high net worth individuals and large corporations. Among other honors, he has been awarded Martindale-Hubbell's AV-Preeminent* rating.

An incisive litigator, Mr. Dillard has earned a reputation for being well prepared and for having an impressive array of courtroom and settlement-table successes, including a securities litigation action against an international company that recovered the client's entire loss and deposed of the chief executives. Another case involving the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act earned a win while defending a national manufacturer; the jury came to a unanimous decision in favor of the client within only 15 minutes.

Admitted to practice in Texas in 2003, Mr. Dillard gained admittance to Louisiana and Minnesota a year later. He practices before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Mr. Dillard is a member of the American Bar Association and the bar associations for Houston, Louisiana and Texas.

Mr. Dillard earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Indiana State University in 2000 and his Juris Doctor from the South Texas College of Law in 2003. A native of Roanoke, Virginia, he is a member of the South Texas Order of the Barristers and founder of the Houston Attorney Networking Group.

*AV-Preeminent is a certification mark of Reed Elsevier Properties Inc., used in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review rating process. Ratings reflect the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell ratings fall into two categories—legal ability and general ethical standards.
