Lynne M. Jurek is the managing attorney at Jurek Law Group, PLLC, located in Houston, Texas. Ms. Jurek focuses her practice on personal injury defense, business litigation, corporate law, property damage litigation and commercial litigation. She also represents clients in other matters, including government entity litigation, employer's liability, corporate matters, construction defect claims, and general maritime casualty litigation and defense. Ms. Jurek has represented insurance companies, hotels, apartment complexes, restaurants, warehouse facilities and other commercial, manufacturing and retail clients in both trial and appellate matters.
Ms. Jurek earned her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 1991
after completing her undergraduate studies in business administration and
English at Gustavus Adolphus College. Licensed both Texas and Minnesota, she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. Ms. Jurek is board-certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and rated AV Preeminent* by Martindale-Hubbell.
Prior to founding Jurek Law Group, PLLC, Ms. Jurek was a trial attorney with
other area law firms. She was also staff counsel for St. Paul Fire and Marine
Insurance Company, Inc., for five and 1/2 years and staff counsel for State Farm Mutual
Automobile Insurance Company for more than three years.
Ms. Jurek is an active participant in the Houston Mariners Club, the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program, and has been enjoyed membership and participation in the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists, the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit. She is also an active member of Victory Houston, which is a branch of the American Cancer Society, and a founder of The Protectors' Memorial Foundation. Ms. Jurek's other association memberships include the Risk Management Society's Houston Chapter, the American Bar Association's Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, and the Corporate Counsel Section of the State Bar of Texas.
