Sam Adamo is the founder of Adamo & Adamo, located in Houston, Texas. Focusing his practice exclusively on criminal defense, he represents clients throughout the area who have been charged with state or federal offenses including theft, assault, drug possession and distribution, sex crimes and murder.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in 1964 from Saint Louis University, Mr. Adamo went on to attend South Texas College of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1968. After graduation, he spent five years as a prosecutor with the Office of District Attorney in Harris County, Texas. His experience helped him learn how prosecutors approach their cases and gave him a perspective on how to prepare a defense.
Mr. Adamo has deservedly earned a reputation as one of the top criminal defense attorneys in Texas. His tenacity and ethics have led to multiple accolades and awards from both his peers and the public alike, including the receipt of an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell for his legal skills and ethics. Mr. Adamo is a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100, and the Houston Chronicle has hailed him as the top criminal defense attorney in Houston.
Certified as a specialist in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Adamo is admitted to practice in Texas. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, Western and Northern Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Adamo is an active participant in a variety of professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
