Experienced attorney Robert E. Valdez is a partner at the highly respected San Antonio law firm of Valdez, Jackson & Treviño. Mr. Valdez, who focuses his practice on insurance defense, is well-known for his skills as a trial attorney and has extensive experience litigating cases involving catastrophic injury. In addition to having years of experience in the courtroom, he is also an experienced mediator who is called upon regularly for assistance with a variety of legal disputes.
Mr. Valdez began his legal career in 1980 after earning his Juris Doctor from St. Mary's University School of Law and his admission to the State Bar of Texas. Over the past 30-plus years, the State Bar of New Mexico, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas and the District of New Mexico, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court have all approved him to practice law in their courtrooms.
Since 1987, the Texas Board of Legal Specialization has recognized attorney Valdez as a board-certified specialist in the area of personal injury trial law. In addition, he served as director and chair of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, the Texas Board of Law Examiners and the San Antonio Bar Association Grievance Committee.
