As the co-founder and managing partner of Albo & Oblon, L.L.P., with offices in Arlington, Fairfax, and Staunton, Virginia, David A. Oblon has over 20 years of negotiation, litigation and trial experience. Representing clients throughout Virginia and the District of Columbia, his primary practice areas include criminal law (including serious traffic cases, such as DUI), employment law, and civil litigation. Mr. Oblon has secured favorable outcomes for his clients in a number of high-profile criminal defense cases as well as major contract disputes.
In 1990, Mr. Oblon received a Bachelor of Arts in international affairs from the George Washington University. He subsequently attended George Mason University School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1994. Admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia, Mr. Oblon is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the District of Columbia and the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th and Federal Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has also been appointed as a Commissioner in Chancery of the Arlington County Circuit Court, where he adjudicates post-judgment interrogatories and other matters that are referred to him.
A prominent member of the region's legal community, Mr. Oblon has been frequently asked to share his experiences at continuing legal education seminars and other groups of fellow members of the bar and is active in several professional groups, including the Arlington County Bar Association, the Arlington County Bar Foundation and the Virginia State Bar.
