After law school, she clerked for a judge on the Fairfax Circuit Court and then worked as an associate at Greenspun Shapiro, PC, a well-known law firm, before opening her firm in 2012. Ms. VanLowe is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
As an adjunct professor at the George Mason University School of Law and The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, Ms. VanLowe has led classes on a wide array of topics, including legal writing, counseling, interviewing and negotiation. Always striving to stay abreast of current developments in her fields of practice, she belongs to a variety of professional organizations, including the Northern Virginia Women Attorneys Association, the Fairfax Bar Association and the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association. Ms. VanLowe serves on the Virginia State Bar Council and was appointed to the Virginia State Bar Mandatory Legal Education Committee.
