Irv Cantor is the Managing Director of Cantor, Stoneburner, Ford, Grana & Buckner. Irv’s practice is limited to representing plaintiffs in catastrophic injury and death cases, with an emphasis on traumatic brain injury cases. He is a past President of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, and the Virginia chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Irv has tried to verdict or settled over 1,750 personal injury cases in his career, including approximately 450 brain injury cases, and has obtained over 50 verdicts or settlements exceeding $1 million.
In 2016 and 2014, Irv was voted by his peers as "Richmond Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs Lawyer of the Year" in Best Lawyers in America and is listed in both the personal injury litigation and medical malpractice law categories. Irv has been voted by his peers as one of the "Top 10 Virginia Super Lawyers" every year since 2012. He is also AV® rated, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. Irv is a past president of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Brain Injury Association of Virginia and the Virginia Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He also served as the chairman of the Brain Injury Association of America’s National Legal Conference.
