Ann M. Green, of Anderson, Desimone & Green, P.C., is a dynamic attorney with over 25 years of experience helping clients in the Roanoke Valley, Virginia, area with legal issues related to elder law and estate planning. Ms. Green is committed to helping all types of clients, including individuals with special needs. With that in mind, she often handles guardianship matters, Medicaid cases and trusts and other long-term planning matters for clients or their loved ones who have special needs. Her practice serves clients in Roanoke and surrounding communities such as Moneta, Smith and Mountain Lake.

Ms. Green graduated magna cum laude from the University of Virginia with a degree in economics. After two years working as a legal assistant, she returned to school to attend the University of Virginia School of Law.

Since entering private practice in 1991, her numerous achievements have earned Ms. Green recognition in the legal community. She has been invited to join the Special Needs Alliance, a nonprofit organization led by the nation's leading disability and public benefits attorneys. She has been named best elder law attorney in Southwest Virginia by Our Health magazine on several occasions, and was included on the "Best Lawyers in America" list from 2010 to 2016.

Ms. Green uses her experience and skill to help others by holding elder law and Medicaid seminars for general audiences. She also educates other attorneys on topics such as adult guardianships, elder law, estate planning and Medicare through the Virginia Continuing Legal Education program.

Active in many professional and community groups, Ms. Green is a former president of the Salem/Roanoke County Bar Association and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
