Marie Washington opened her own law practice in April 2011. She has more than fourteen years of law experience in an array of practice areas including: Family Law, Business Law, Criminal Law, Estate Planning, Collections, Civil Litigation, and Landlord/Tenant disputes. She is an active member of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association, the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers as well as the Fauquier and Prince William County Bar Association. Marie Washington currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Fauquier Health Senior Living and on the Advisory Board for the Mental Health Association of Fauquier County. She provides volunteer services to Rappahannock Legal Services. Her law firm has donated free estate planning documents to countless charities in support of their fundraising efforts. She also participates at law camp and career shadowing days with high schools in the county. During the holidays you can find her ringing the bell for the Salvation Army alongside her Great Pyrenees dog.
