As the founder of Lustick, Kaiman & Madrone, PLLC, Jeffrey A. Lustick focuses his practice on criminal defense, aviation law and military law. His cases generally involve felony charges, white collar crimes, driving under the influence and high-end criminal defense matters. Mr. Lustick accepts cases from clients in Bellingham, Washington, and throughout Whatcom County.
Mr. Lustick received a Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington University. He then went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating cum laude.
Before entering into private practice in 2004, Mr. Lustick served as a circuit defense counsel and as a military prosecutor for the U.S. Air Force and then as a special assistant United States attorney. He also served as the lead prosecutor for the city of Bellingham. Mr. Lustick draws on this experience to aid in his fight to defend his clients and their rights. He has been named in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100; he has been named in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40; and he has an Avvo “Superb” rating.
Staying active in the legal community, Mr. Lustick has served in various capacities for a number of associations, including serving as an officer, and as president, of the Whatcom County Bar Association. He is a legal news consultant and contributor for a Bellingham radio station; he provides legal commentary on news stories for several Seattle-based television stations and for ESPN Radio; and he has made appearances as an on-air guest and legal consultant for truTV.
Beyond his work in the courtroom, Mr. Lustick is an avid pilot. He has over 2,500 hours of flight experience and is an active member in several aviation organizations.
