Francisco A. Duarte is a criminal defense and personal injury lawyer for Washington law firm Fury Duarte PS. Mr. Duarte focuses on a variety of criminal defense topics, including felonies, DUI defense, drug charges and other criminal matters. He also represents clients in serious personal injury cases. Mr. Duarte accepts cases in Seattle and throughout Washington.
As a former assistant attorney general and deputy prosecutor for King County, Mr. Duarte gained experience on both sides of the courtroom, an insight that gives him an advantage when developing a solid case. He recognizes that being accused of a crime is a stressful time for clients and their families, and strives to utilize compassion and empathy in his work.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in 1997 from the University at Albany, The State University of New York, Mr. Duarte earned his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, in 1994. He is admitted to practice law in Washington.
Strong legal ethics and an excellent track record have given Mr. Duarte the opportunity to teach trial practice at continuing legal education programs, including those held at the prestigious National Institute for Trial Advocacy and the Washington Young Lawyers Committee's Trial Advocacy Program. He has also appeared as a legal analyst on various news and radio programs, and has published numerous articles on criminal law.
Mr. Duarte believes in giving back to his community. He serves as a director for Lawyers Helping Hungry Children and also serves on the Seattle Shakespeare Company’s board of directors.
