Donald J. Chewning is in solo practice with Chewning Legal, LLC and focuses primarily on helping individuals pursuing Social Security disability claims. Mr. Chewning represents clients throught the state. Mr. Chewning helps clients obtain Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, providing assistance with initial applications and handling denied claim appeals at both the administrative and federal court levels of the process.
Mr. Chewning is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (B.A., 1997), a summa cum laude graduate of Marquette University Law School (J.D., 2000), and a former law clerk to the Honorable Justice Ann Walsh Bradley of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He has argued cases in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Chewning remains an active member of several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Wisconsin (member, board of governors, 2008-2010) and the Manitowoc County Bar Association and is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR).
