Serving clients across Alabama, Adam Pittman focuses his practice on complex products liability, personal injury, class action and mass torts litigation. Dedicated to advocating for individuals harmed by consumer fraud, dangerous medical devices and defective products, he stands up to powerful corporations. From his eponymous firm, Adam W. Pittman, LLC, in Birmingham, Alabama, he delivers focused representation in high-stakes civil claims, working tirelessly to hold negligent manufacturers accountable and pursue justice for injured victims statewide.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in English from Auburn University, Mr. Pittman went on to enroll at The University of Alabama School of Law, where he served as a senior editor to the university’s law review. He received the Best Senior Editor recognition and the Maynard Cooper & Gale award before obtaining his Juris Doctor in 2011. In the same year, he was admitted to practice in Alabama and is also licensed to appear before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Middle Districts of Alabama and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pittman has established a formidable track record in complex consumer litigation. Appointed by the federal district court as class counsel in Batista v. Nissan North America, he helped secure a nationwide settlement addressing systemic continuously variable transmission defects in Nissan Pathfinders. Furthermore, his work in Lisk v. Lumber One before the 11th Circuit set a groundbreaking precedent that opened Alabama’s federal courts to consumer class actions for the very first time.
Mr. Pittman grounds his legal practice in deep client-centeredness and professionalism. Recognizing that complex litigation often stems from overwhelming circumstances, he approaches every case with empathy, direct communication and steady guidance. He prioritizes understanding each client's unique goals while maintaining the highest ethical standards in and out of the courtroom. This balance of passionate advocacy and polished professionalism ensures clients feel genuinely heard, valued and fiercely represented throughout the legal process.
