Ashley grew up in Minnesota and Florida. As a four-year recipient of the Bright Futures Scholarship, she attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Business Administration. While attending the Cumberland School of Law, she was active in the trial advocacy program. She was a member of Cumberland’s National Trial Team, bringing home the Texas Young Lawyers Association’s National Trial Competition trophy two years in a row. She also received the James H. Roberts “Best Advocate” Award. In addition to competing on Cumberland’s National Trial Team, Mrs. Peinhardt served as an Honor Court Justice, was a member of the Moot Court Board and a member of the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Executive Board – as the Director of the James O. Haley Federal Trial Competitions. In the spring of 2010, she was a recipient of the American Board of Trial Advocates Scholarship and became a member of the Order of the Barristers. She was a summer law clerk at Hare Wynn in 2009. She received her J.D., with a Certificate in Trial Advocacy, in the spring of 2010 and was admitted to practice in the State of Alabama after passing the bar exam.

Her practice is concentrated in the areas of complex litigation, breach of contract, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, including tractor-trailer driving cases, dram shop, and nursing home negligence. and class actions. Her first jury trial resulted in a $15 million dollar verdict against a gas station that sold alcohol to minors without checking for an ID. Recently, in a medical malpractice case in Jefferson County, Alabama, the jury awarded $7.5 million verdict against Brookwood Hospital in a negligence lawsuit brought by a Birmingham couple.

Ashley was elected Secretary of the Birmingham Bar Association Young Lawyers Executive Board in 2013-2014. She was also elected to the Birmingham Bar Association Young Lawyers Executive Board in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013, where she is in charge of the Noojin-White 5K Annual Race to the Courthouse. Mrs. Peinhardt also serves as a member of the Birmingham Bar Association Public Service Committee and the Computer & Technology Committee . In addition, she is a member of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham and coaches the Hoover High School Trial Team. Mrs. Peinhardt was named by B-Metro magazine as a “Rising Star” in the Birmingham Bar in 2012. This honor acknowledges her legal abilities and commitment to community service. Ashley is a member of the Leadership Alabama Initiative. She serves as Vice Chair of Public Service on the Alabama Association for Justice Emerging Leaders Board and is a member of Class 5 of the Birmingham Bar Association Future Leaders Forum.
