Grant Reese practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in matters involving contracts, shareholder/partnership disputes, noncompetition and trade secrets, disputes related to real estate transactions and property use issues, corporate dissolution/dissociations, and corporate insurance coverage. Grant also has significant experience advising medical professionals regarding risk mitigation and compliance issues.
Grant Reese represents businesses, corporate owners, and professionals in complex commercial disputes across Alabama. With a sharp focus on business- and commercial-litigation matters, he handles contract disputes; shareholder and partnership conflicts; non-competition and trade-secret claims; real estate and property-use issues; corporate dissolutions and dissociations; insurance-coverage litigation; and risk-mitigation and compliance counseling for medical providers and other professionals.
A skilled courtroom advocate and writer, Grant has drafted successful briefs in state and federal trial courts, and argued before the Alabama Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Most notably, he served as lead counsel on a precedent-setting appeal before the Alabama Supreme Court — securing full dismissal for his client on novel claims of intentional conduct.
Prior to joining Badham & Buck, Grant honed his litigation skills at a prominent Birmingham firm, giving him a broad foundation in commercial law before focusing exclusively on business litigation.
Why Clients Turn to Grant Reese:
For business owners and professionals facing high-stakes disputes, Grant offers strategic, results-oriented advocacy backed by appellate-level experience.
He combines rigorous legal analysis with practical business insight — especially valuable when complex corporate, real-estate, or insurance issues intersect.
Grant understands the operational realities and risks business owners face, and emphasizes effective resolution rather than protracted litigation when appropriate.
