J. Ben Ford

Ben is the managing partner at the law firm of Marsh, Rickard & Bryan in Birmingham, Alabama. He takes the time to get to know his clients, understands their needs and evens the playing field for them against those who caused them or their families harm. He has devoted his career to fighting for people who are injured or lost a family member due to motor vehicle accidents, truck accidents, defective/dangerous products or medical negligence.

A compassionate and trusted attorney, Ben has earned a reputation as a tough litigator with a deep understanding of the law and familiarity with the court system. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Alabama in 2014, and before the federal U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama.

Ben graduated with honors from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He obtained his Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2014, where he was a member of the Alabama Law Review and inducted into “The Order of Barristers,’’ an honor given to students who demonstrate exceptional skill in trial and oral advocacy. He was also a member of the trial advocacy competition team throughout law school and named an “Outstanding Advocate” by the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.

An active member of the legal community, Ben is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He has served multiple terms on the ALAJ Board of Directors.

In honor of his work in the legal field, Ben was inducted as a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation and has been included in the list of Top 40 Under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers, Top 40 Under 40 litigation attorneys in 2018 by the American Society of Legal Advocates and Top 10 Under 40 attorneys by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys.
