Jane F. Mauzy is an attorney at MARSH | RICKARD | BRYAN where she devotes the primary portion of her practice to personal injury and wrongful death litigation. She works out of the firm’s Birmingham office and provides representation to clients throughout Alabama. Jane has been with the firm since she graduated from law school and is admitted to practice in all Alabama state courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama.
Jane handles various types of personal injury and wrongful death claims. Her practice includes cases involving defective products, including consumer goods, baby gear, automobiles, and medical devices; birth injuries and other forms of medical malpractice; nursing home negligence; motor vehicle and trucking accidents; construction site and other workplace injuries; and premises liability. Jane's clients benefit from her trial and settlement negotiation skills, receiving substantial compensation for their personal injuries and other damages caused by the negligence or recklessness of others.
In addition to the above, Jane has also worked on other types of civil litigation, representing plaintiffs and defendants in commercial cases arising out of contract, intellectual property, and other types of business disputes, as well as insurance coverage matters and shareholder claims. She joined the firm after obtaining her legal degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham in 2011. Prior to law school, Jane received her Bachelor of Arts degree in World Religions from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee in 2005.
