Attorney Jessica Kirk Drennan is the founder of Kirk Drennan Law in Birmingham, Alabama. Ms. Drennan leads the firm’s family law practice group and focuses her practice exclusively on family law and serves clients throughout Birmingham and the surrounding areas. She handles matters involving alimony, custody, high-asset marital estates and various other domestic-related matters.
Ms. Drennan has been a licensed attorney since 1995 and has more than 20 years of litigation experience. She has litigated at the trial and appellate levels and is passionate about helping Alabama individuals and families. In addition to her practice, she authored the book “Divorce in Alabama” in order to help answer common divorce questions and appeared on the “Law Call” television program in 2010 to discuss domestic relations law.
Recognized for her significant contributions to the legal profession, Ms. Drennan is rated AV Preeminent* by the peer review organization Martindale-Hubbell. She is also a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has held several roles in the organization over the years. She has been recognized as one of the “top family law lawyers” in Birmingham by Birmingham magazine during multiple years.
Ms. Drennan is active in her legal and professional communities. She belongs to the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association’s Women’s Section, Alabama Women in Business, the American Bar Association and the Women’s Network of Birmingham. She participates in several volunteer legal organizations and sits on the board of the Children’s Village and AROVA Contemporary Ballet.
Ms. Drennan earned her law degree from The University of Alabama School of Law. Her additional credentials include being a board-certified advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
