The principal attorney at Clark Law Firm PC, John Clark handles a variety of matters for his clients. Mr. Clark provides general business advice and counsel to company owners and management on entity formation, debt and equity financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements and other issues. Mr. Clark's real estate practice includes purchases and sales, landlord/tenant disputes, easements, property liens and title and boundary issues. He also represents employers and employees regarding non-compete/non-solicitation agreements, as well as minority shareholders/members in disputes with majority shareholders/members.
Mr. Clark is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2001. After obtaining a Masters in Banking & Finance from the University of Alabama in 2002, he remained in Tuscaloosa and enrolled at the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating in 2005 with his Juris Doctor.
Prior to opening Clark Law Firm PC in 2017, Mr. Clark spent several years at a well-known Birmingham boutique firm, where he handled complex business litigation and transactions. Admitted to practice in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida, Mr. Clark is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
Throughout his career, Mr. Clark has earned the respect of his colleagues for his track record and high degree of ethics. He has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America (real property litigation), and he is AV Preeminent* peer-review rated through Martindale-Hubbell and has a "Superb" peer-review rating through Avvo. He serves on several committees of the Alabama State Bar Association.
