She also served as president of the Black Law Students Association.

Ms. Williams also served as chief judge to the Trial Advocacy Board, and she continues to coach mock trial teams at the Cumberland School of Law. She also conducts lectures and continuing legal education seminars across her region on a variety of legal topics, and she is an active member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Magic City Bar Association, the Alabama Lawyers Association and the Alabama Association for Justice.
