Sidney M. Jackson

Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Sidney M. Jackson serves as a member of Wiggins Childs Pantazis Fisher Goldfarb, LLC, where he represents clients in a wide range of litigation matters, including business disputes, civil rights issues, class actions, employment cases and complex claims involving personal injury or wrongful death.

Mr. Jackson holds dual degrees from Samford University, having earned a Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law and an M.B.A. from the Brock School of Business in 2013, following his Bachelor of Science from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2005. 

Admitted to the State Bar of Alabama, Mr. Jackson appears regularly before the Supreme Court of Alabama, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. His courtroom efforts have included significant appellate work, notably the case of Iriele vs. Griffin, 65 F.4th 1280 (11th Cir. 2023), in which the 11th Circuit set a new judicial requirement mandating district courts provide pro se plaintiffs a reasonable opportunity to secure counsel before dismissing a case.

Mr. Jackson aligns his practice with active participation in professional organizations such as the Alabama State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Magic City Bar Association and the Alabama Lawyers Association. Within these associations, he seeks to foster professional growth, contribute to legal scholarship, and collaborate with peers across various legal disciplines. He has been rated “Superb” on Avvo.

Throughout his career, Mr. Jackson has been recognized with numerous accolades. Honors include selection to the “Best of the Bar” in Birmingham (2023), the “Cream of the Crop” in the Birmingham legal market (2020), and acknowledgment as one of the “NextGen Birmingham Legal Leaders” by the Birmingham Business Journal in 2019 and 2020. His peers have also identified him as a Birmingham Magazine Top Attorney, and in 2019, he was elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
