Mr. Hargett, a native of Cherokee, Alabama, began his legal career at two prominent law firms in Huntsville: Maynard Cooper & Gale, P.C., and Balch & Bingham LLP. In July 2009, he returned to his hometown and joined Hall | Tanner | Hargett | PC. As a trial lawyer, he represents both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation matters in state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution proceedings like arbitration and mediation throughout North Alabama.
He obtained his law degree with honors (cum laude) from the University of Mississippi School of Law. During his time there, he served as an associate editor of the Mississippi Law Journal, demonstrating excellence in legal writing, and was a member of the executive committee of the Moot Court Board, showcasing his trial advocacy skills. Before attending law school, Mr. Hargett joined the University of North Alabama on baseball and leadership scholarships, graduating with high honors (magna cum laude) with a double-major in political science and biology.
