Abbey Clarkson

As an attorney with The Clarkson Firm, Abbey Clarkson represents clients throughout Alabama. Her practice is primarily focused on Social Security Disability but she also represents individuals who have been victimized by the funeral industry, including negligent embalming, funeral home fraud, cemetery mismanagement, improper burials, and other outrageous conduct. She also handles select civil rights cases involving police misconduct and education discrimination. With over a decade of experience, she has been a champion for the disabled as they fight for their rights and navigate through a complicated legal system.

Ms. Clarkson attended Jacksonville University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a master’s in public administration before attending law school. At the University of Alabama School of Law, she earned her Juris Doctor and graduated as a member of the National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Team and the Campbell Moot Court Board. While in law school, she was editor-in-chief of The Journal of the Legal Profession.

A member of the Dekalb Bar Association and the Solo & Small Firm Practitioner Section of the Birmingham Bar Association, Ms. Clarkson is also a graduate of the Birmingham Bar Association Future Leaders Forum.

During her career, Ms. Clarkson has worked with individuals from all walks of life who face unique, complex situations that require a compassionate approach and a customized solution to a problem. Her experience also extends to those who have been victims of education discrimination and police misconduct.
