Kyle Pierce

Kyle Pierce has spent most of his life solving problems.

Long before he became a lawyer, Kyle was helping organizations communicate, building digital platforms, serving in community leadership roles, and looking for ways to make life better for the people around him. Today, as the founder of Pierce Legal Team, he helps individuals, families, and businesses navigate some of the most difficult challenges they will ever face—from criminal charges and litigation to probate matters, business disputes, and complex property issues.

A lifelong Alabamian, Kyle grew up in Attalla and attended Etowah High School. His first job was wearing a zebra suit as “Zooby-Do,” the mascot for local radio station Z93. What started as a fun community role quickly evolved into a position managing digital content for Z93 and WAAX, where he helped oversee the stations' websites, online content, and digital strategy. Those early experiences sparked an interest in communication, public service, and problem-solving that would later shape his legal career.

While attending The University of Alabama, Kyle continued working in radio and was part of the award-winning team at 98TXT that provided around-the-clock live coverage following the April 27, 2011 tornado outbreak in Tuscaloosa. Seeing firsthand how information, leadership, and service could help a community recover from a crisis reinforced a lesson that would remain with him throughout his career: in difficult times, people need trustworthy guidance and practical solutions.

Kyle graduated from The University of Alabama before attending Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. During law school, he completed advanced advocacy training in both criminal and civil litigation, studied estate planning, business and real estate transactions, and voting rights litigation, and researched developments in Alabama real property law. He clerked for Judge David A. Kimberly of Alabama’s Sixteenth Judicial Circuit and later worked on substantial personal injury matters while serving as a law clerk at Tipler Law Offices.

Today, Kyle's practice focuses primarily on criminal defense, probate and estate matters, civil litigation, property disputes, business representation, and appeals. He has handled more than ten jury trials, including cases involving homicide and sexual offenses, and is frequently consulted by other attorneys regarding jury selection strategy in Etowah County. He is admitted to practice before all Alabama state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

Kyle is actively involved in the legal profession and the development of Alabama law. He serves as Publications Chairman of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, is a member of the Alabama Law Institute Probate Committee, and serves on the Subcommittee to Modernize Alabama's Guardianship and Conservatorship laws. He is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National College of DUI Defense, WealthCounsel, the Land Title Association of Alabama, and the American Land Title Association.

His work has been recognized through repeated selection to the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 since 2022 and as a Super Lawyers Mid-South Rising Star since 2024.

Although his practice serves clients throughout Alabama, returning to Etowah County was a deliberate decision. Kyle believes the people of Etowah County and North Central Alabama genuinely care about one another, and he wanted his children to grow up in that same environment. As his practice has expanded into Birmingham and beyond, that commitment to community has remained unchanged.

Outside the practice of law, Kyle remains active in civic, charitable, and community organizations throughout Alabama. He was a major party nominee for Alabama House District 28 in 2018 and continues to participate in community, charitable, and political organizations across the state. He is a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection , supports numerous local charitable organizations, is a member of The Club in Birmingham and the Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts, and is a proud supporter of the University of Alabama through both the Alabama National Alumni Association and Yea Alabama. He has also coached youth soccer and remains actively involved in the activities of his daughters.

Kyle and his wife, Beth, have two daughters, Caroline and Eleanor.

At the heart of it all, Kyle's practice is guided by a simple belief: people deserve a trusted advocate when life becomes complicated. Whether helping a business manage risk, guiding a family through probate, defending someone accused of a crime, or resolving a difficult dispute, his goal remains the same—to solve problems, provide clarity, and help his clients move forward with confidence.
