Details
As a founder of DeenLaw, P.C., T. Jefferson Deen III (Jeff) is committed to representing clients in Mobile, Alabama, and the surrounding areas. He focuses his practice on handling criminal defense cases that involve the following matters: white collar crimes, DUI/DWI, homicide, sex crimes and drug crimes.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Stetson University, Mr. Deen went on to receive a Juris Doctor from the Samford University Cumberland School of Law in 1977.
For more than 35 years, Mr. Deen has been focused on preserving the rights of those accused of criminal activity. He takes a tactical approach to every case, calling in expert witnesses and poking holes through the prosecution's argument. He aggressively represents clients and has built a track record of securing acquittals, dismissals and reduced charges.
Mr. Deen's successes include several not guilty verdicts in cases involving murder, rape and manslaughter, and in a 2001 capital murder appeal, he secured a judgment of acquittal for his client. For his achievements, Mr. Deen has been named in The Best Lawyers in America*; he holds an Avvo "Superb" rating; and the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association presented him with the Roderick Beddow Lifetime Achievement Award.
Active in the legal community, Mr. Deen holds memberships with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Board of Criminal Lawyers, the Dixey Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association, the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Mobile Criminal Lawyer Association which he co-founded. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama.
