Jonathan D. Guin

Jonathan D. Guin is a partner at Tanner & Guin, LLC, located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. His legal practice spans a wide array of fields, including business and corporate law, estate planning and probate, federal and state taxation, individual tax and income tax matters, mergers and acquisitions, partnership and limited liability companies, and tax-exempt organizations. His work primarily revolves around strategizing to reduce transactional tax burdens linked to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, tax-free reorganizations, internal restructurings and debt restructurings, as well as minimizing future tax liabilities for ongoing operations.

After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics and management from Harding University in 2006, Mr. Guin earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2008. He further enhanced his qualifications with a Master of Law in taxation from the University of Miami School of Law in 2010. Licensed in Alabama since 2009, he is admitted to practice before the Alabama Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern and Middle Districts of Alabama, and the United States Tax Court.

A distinguished member of the legal fraternity, Mr. Guin actively participates in the Alabama State Bar, the American Bar Association's Taxation Section, the ABA Forum Committee on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law, the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
