Edwin (Ted) R. Ashton

Edwin (Ted) R. Ashton, the co-founder of Arete Legal Solutions a division of Arete Financial LLC located in Goodyear, Arizona, handles cases that center around estate planning, business and commercial law and real estate law. Dedicated to his Arizona clients’ total financial well-being, he offers top-notch financial services aimed at helping them achieve their business goals.

In 2003, Mr. Ashton graduated with his bachelor’s degree in finance magna cum laude from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and the Beta Gamma Sigma societies for his academic performance. After operating a small company for several years, he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2011, with high honors, from The University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. While attending law school, he received the William H. Leary Scholars Scholarship.

Mr. Ashton is licensed to practice before the State Bar of Arizona and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. Over his career spanning a decade, he has been recognized by many organizations. He has earned an “Excellent” rating from Avvo, a well-known attorney rating site. A firm believer in giving back and helping the community he works for, he has volunteered his time as a coach to the Litchfield Park Youth Sports and the Murray City Youth Sports Program. He also serves as an adult leader for the Boy Scouts of America.
