Attorney Profile

Adam Palmer is the managing partner of Hendrickson & Palmer, P.C., a boutique law firm with offices in Phoenix and Prescott, Arizona.  He has extensive litigation and trial experience in cases involving workers' compensation, personal injury, and legal and medical negligence.  Over his more than 33-year career, Mr. Palmer has earned a reputation of aggressively fighting for his clients in the areas of workers’ compensation and personal injury.  He has successfully received millions of dollars in settlements, verdicts, and Awards on behalf of his injured clients and their families.  Not all of those battles, however, ended in the courtroom.  Some of them went on to Arizona's appellate courts where Mr. Palmer set new precedent or clarified existing law for the benefit of Arizonans.

Mr. Palmer is a native New Yorker, born in 1962.  He attended Juniata College where he played football and subsequently obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Business in 1984.  He attended law school at Antioch School of Law and graduated in 1986.  While at Antioch, Mr. Palmer was an editor on the Antioch Law Journal and was initiated into the International Legal Fraternity of Phi Delta Phi in April, 1985.  Mr. Palmer was admitted into the United States District Court, District of Arizona in 1988, into the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit in 1989, and into the Supreme Court of the United States of America in 1997.

Mr. Palmer has appeared before numerous administrative agencies including, the Industrial Commission of Arizona, Arizona State Board of Pharmacy, Arizona Medical Board, Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners, and California Medical Board.  He has also appeared in both State and Federal Courts in Arizona, Maryland, Missouri, and Florida.  Mr. Palmer is Board Certified in Workers' Compensation by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization since 2009.   Less than 5% of all active members of the Arizona State Bar are board certified.  He also holds an AV rating by Martindale-Hubble having been recognized for the highest level of legal ability and ethics.  Mr. Palmer has been honored by Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group Nations Top Injured Workers’ Attorneys 2016, National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Lawyers Civil Plaintiff 2016, and Lawyers of Distinction 2018.

In addition to his claimant and plaintiff clients, Mr. Palmer has a very unique practice not offered by many Arizona attorneys where he defends employers who failed to obtain workers’ compensation insurance coverage for their employees.  These employers are now facing the loss of significant business and personal assets due to pending workers’ compensation claims.   Employers who violate the Arizona Workers’ Compensation Act by failing to have workers’ compensation insurance can face fines and/or imprisonment.
