Mr. Houk holds a degree in political science from the University of Arizona and earned his law degree from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. After law school, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Jack B. Kirsten of the Superior Court of New Jersey, where he gained valuable courtroom experience.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Houk is an adjunct professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He is also an active member of the legal community, serving as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and participating in the National Employment Lawyers Association, where he has held leadership roles. He is a former treasurer and board member of the Arizona Employment Lawyers Association.

Mr. Houk has represented clients in both state and federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and brings his extensive experience from working with the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to each case.
