Daniel G. Dowd

Daniel Dowd is a Partner and the President of Cohen Dowd Durchslag. For three decades, Dan has been one of Arizona’s leading complex commercial litigation attorneys. Dan has been selected in every edition of Southwest Super Lawyers, including repeated selections as one of the Top 50 attorneys in Arizona, and has often been named as a “top commercial litigator” by Arizona Business Leaders magazine. The Business Journal has recognized Dan as one of the “Best of the Bar – Litigation,” Best Lawyers in America has selected Dan every year since 2010 for commercial litigation, and he is ranked for commercial litigation by Chambers USA. Dan has successfully litigated cases for clients from large corporations to local businesses and individuals, obtaining among the largest verdicts and awards on record from Arizona juries and the bench. Dan has represented the Arizona Board of Regents and the public institutions it governs in nearly 100 matters ranging from employment to internal investigations to intellectual property disputes. Dan has been part of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation’s senior leadership since 2001. He is also the long-time (and only) Program Director for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s Arizona and Nevada Deposition Skills Programs.
