As firm principal of Budoff & Ross PC, Jeffrey D. Ross represents clients primarily in the greater Phoenix metro region, as well as across Arizona. His practice is focused on criminal defense, representing persons charged with or under investigation for the following matters: felony charges in State and Federal Court, including assault and homicide, sexual offenses, vehicular crimes, drug offenses, and conspiracy.Â
Beginning his career as a felony prosecutor, Mr. Ross gained valuable insight into criminal law proceedings. With more than 45 years of litigation experience that includes primary representation in more than 150 jury trials, he is able to build strong cases based on extensive experience and hard work on behalf of his clients, and deftly navigate through both the open waters and back-channels of the criminal justice system. Mr. Ross appreciates and understands the importance of getting to know and work closely with his clients to achieve the common goal. His tenacity in the courtroom has netted many successes for which he has earned the highest rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Ross holds memberships with the Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in all Arizona courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
In launching his legal career, Mr. Ross received his Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University in 1971 and went on to earn his Juris Doctor in 1976 from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. While earning his law degree, he was a member of the Maryland Law Review and served as president of the Student Bar Association.
