Melinda M. Sloma

The Sloma Law Group in Phoenix, Arizona, was founded by Melinda M. Sloma in 2012 to serve clients across the Phoenix metro and Maricopa County. Ms. Melinda limits her practice to mostly family law matters and on rare occasions, handles civil litigation cases.

Born and brought up in Battle Creek, Michigan, Ms. Sloma earned her B.A. in philosophy magna cum laude from Albion College in 2004. She then studied law at the Michigan State University College of Law with a concentration in family and child advocacy. Obtaining her law degree in 2007, she passed the bar and was licensed to practice in Arizona the same year, and later, she gained admittance before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.

An accomplished attorney, Ms. Sloma is renowned among the legal community for her vast knowledge of the law, integrity and professionalism. She holds a 10 out of 10 rating on Avvo, along with numerous five-star client reviews and peer endorsements.

A licensed practitioner for more than 15 years, Ms. Sloma maintains professional affiliations with several prominent legal associations. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Sandra Day O'Connor American Inn of Court and an executive board member of the Maricopa County Bar Association. Furthermore, she volunteers at the Legal Assistance to Women in Shelter's (LAWS) program for domestic violence victims and serves as a pro bono attorney in the Volunteer Lawyers Program run by the Community Legal Services.
