Upon finishing law school, Mr. Alarid joined a well-respected criminal defense firm in Arizona. There, he gained significant knowledge by working on complicated and notable cases early on in his career. Remarkably, he argued twice in front of the Arizona Supreme Court within his first five years as a lawyer, which is a rare achievement. In one notable case, he influenced the Arizona Supreme Court to alter the statewide laws regarding DUIs involving marijuana.
Mr. Alarid spent five years working at a boutique law firm before moving to a significant criminal defense firm in Arizona. Over the next seven years, he acted as a trial lawyer, handling many important and complex cases. He knowledge and developed his shrewd legal acumen by working on hundreds of criminal cases, taking many of them, from minor to serious offenses, to trial in front of a jury.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Alarid is actively involved with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice. Additionally, he was named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 list for 2020.
