He is the founding partner of the firm Frankel Syverson PLLC. He has handled matters pertaining to wrongful termination, workplace retaliation, wage and hour disputes, leaves, severance agreements and discrimination.
Wage and hour disputes make up the bulk of Mr. Frankel’s work. On behalf of workers suing for unpaid overtime, minimum wage and off-the-clock wages, he has litigated many class actions, collective actions and individual lawsuits on a national, regional and state level. From mom-and-pop shops to multinational conglomerates, he has battled for workers' rights against them all.
Employers can rely on Mr. Frankel’s experience in employment law practices and litigation to guide them through a wide range of issues, including but not limited to compensation, workplace investigations, hiring practices, termination, paid sick leave, paid vacation and other similar policies and procedures.
A dean’s list graduate of Boston College, Mr. Frankel completed his bachelor’s degree in political science and communications in 2006 followed by his J.D. cum laude from Boston College Law School in 2009. He researched public policy and the law with the goal of protecting the rights of children with developmental impairments while serving as an LEND Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital. Additionally, he represented clients in matters involving the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service and Immigration Court as a student attorney at the Boston College Immigration and Asylum Project.
A leader in his field, Mr. Frankel is a member of the board of the Arizona Employment Lawyers Association. He is a part of the National Employment Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Arizona – Labor and Employment Law Section. Moreover, he serves on the Board of the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, a group that provides free social and legal services to children and adults who are facing deportation.
Mr. Frankel is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Arizona and Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. He has been honored for several years in a row by the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Labor and Employment Law.
