Ashley Duncan Adams

Attorney Ashley Duncan Adams is the founder and principal of Adams & Associates, PLC, in Scottsdale, Arizona. She concentrates her practice on criminal defense, particularly white collar criminal defense. She represents individuals and corporate defendants throughout the Scottsdale area. 

In her more than 30 years as a practicing attorney, Ms. Adams has practiced at the state and federal levels, and has handled administrative and regulatory matters involving fraud or government investigations. The National Trial Lawyers included her on its “Top 100” list in criminal defense and the Phoenix Business Journal presented her with a Forty Under Forty award in 2006.

Active in the American Bar Association, Ms. Adams belongs to the Southwest Region subcommittee on white collar crime and the Health Care Fraud & Compliance subcommittee. She is also a member of the Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice and serves as an adjunct professor at Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. She has lectured at continuing legal education seminars and at American Bar Association events. 

A graduate of The University of Oklahoma, where she earned a bachelor’s degree, Ms. Adams went on to receive her law degree from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. During law school, she received several academic awards and belonged to the Order of the Barristers.

Prior to founding her law firm, Ms. Adams worked in a variety of legal roles, including serving as an Assistant United States Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona. She prosecuted many white collar crime cases involving health care and fraud, before turning her practice focus to white collar criminal defense.
