Charitie L. Hartsig

A partner at Carpenter, Hazlewood, Delgado & Bolen, PLC, Charitie L. Hartsig handles a variety of matters for business and individual clients throughout the state of Arizona. From the firm's office in Tempe, she focuses her practice primarily on labor and employment law, representing employers in matters involving allegations of hostile workplace environment and other forms of sexual harassment, workplace discrimination arising out of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the American with Disabilities Act and other statutes, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination and other forms of retaliation.

In these matters, Ms. Hartsig has appeared before state and federal courts as well as in hearings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Industrial Commission of Arizona and the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Attorney General's Office. She also conducts training sessions with management on litigation risk avoidance and on personnel policies. In addition to her labor and employment practice, Ms. Hartsig has represented executors and other fiduciaries in probate and estate administration proceedings, and her experience extends to general business disputes as well. She is admitted to practice before all Arizona and Texas state courts.

Majoring in religious studies, Ms. Hartsig attended Arizona State University, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in 2004. She then enrolled at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, and she was awarded her Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2007. After graduation, Ms. Hartsig served as a law clerk with the Arizona Court of Appeals before entering private practice. A member of the Employment Law Section of the Maricopa County Bar Association, she has been with her current firm since February 2017.
