Sally Colton

Sally Colton focuses her practice on family law matters such as divorce and modifications. With over a decade of experience, she understands the frustrations and tensions that flare up when dealing with issues that require strong emotional strength and support, which is why she strives to make sure her clients are comfortable, informed and prepped for any situation that arises.  Ms. Colton graduated from Brigham Young University in 2008 with her bachelor’s degree in English. She then enrolled a year later in the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where she was a part of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, the Civil Justice Clinic and the Law Journal for Social Justice. During her final year, she conducted research on federal criminal sentencing guidelines as a research assistant. She received her Juris Doctor in 2012.   Ms. Colton had worked in the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, where she contributed her efforts to motions and pleadings, uncontested hearings and contested trials in juvenile dependency law, among others. Her experience with handling clients is reflected in her many positive testimonials. In 2015, she was recognized as an Outstanding Advocate by the Child and Family Protection Division of the Office of the Arizona Attorney General. Ms. Colton stays active in her legal community with her involvement in the State Bar of Arizona’s Family Law Section. She is a certified family law specialist through the Arizona State Bar. She regularly volunteers as a Judge Pro Tempore with Maricopa County conducting settlement conferences.
