Shelby Anderson

Licensed to practice law in Arizona since 2018, Shelby Anderson serves as a partner and lead counsel at the SM2 Legal PLLC, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Extending her services to the people of Phoenix and the surrounding regions, she focuses her practice in the area of family law, not restricted to matters of:

• Complex divorce
• Child support and custody
• Business evaluation and asset/debt distribution
• Parenting
• Spousal maintenance

A native of North Dakota, Ms. Anderson earned a double major in psychology and sociology and a minor in criminal justice as well, at the University of North Dakota. She completed her law degree from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where she was elected as the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal’s director of external affairs. She was awarded the Pedrick Scholar Award in all six semesters, and she has also won the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards.

Commencing her career at a criminal defense firm, Ms. Anderson started out by initiating her family law practice at the firm. Garnering experience in the field, she developed the practice into a fully sophisticated one, even in the early stages of her career. Prioritizing client service over everything else, she has demonstrated the skills and dedication demanded by the field, thereby nurturing quality client relations across the state.

Always prepared for trial, Ms. Anderson carries out meticulous case management, strategic planning and careful negotiations to settle matters out of court. If her clients’ needs are not met, she aggressively fights for their rights in the courtroom, utilizing her thorough preparation and litigation skills.
