Todd Adkins

Todd Adkins is a senior associate at HIMMELSTEIN & ADKINS LLC, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, and he provides representation to companies throughout the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Focusing his practice primarily on real estate transactions, he has significant experience in financing, leasing, acquisitions and development. Mr. Adkins prepares and reviews acquisition agreements, commercial leases, equity and loan financing documents and secured transaction agreements covered by Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. He has handled transactions involving shopping centers, office buildings, golf courses, hotels and other resorts, master planned communities and industrial complexes.

Although the bulk of his real estate experience is on the commercial side, Mr. Adkins also has been involved in the development of single-family residences. In addition to real estate transactions, he provides representation to creditors in bankruptcy cases involving distressed real estate properties and arising under Chapter 7 and Chapter 11, and he has extensive experience with foreclosures and trustees' sales.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Adkins attended the University of Arizona, where he majored in philosophy. He received a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in 2002. After he graduated from college, Mr. Adkins joined the Administrative Office of the Courts of the Arizona Judicial Branch, where he served as a legislative liaison. This experience was a factor in his desire to obtain a legal education, and he enrolled at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where he made the Dean's List before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2007. Admitted to practice before all Arizona state courts and an active member of the State Bar of Arizona, Mr. Adkins is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
