Certified as a specialist in criminal law by the State Bar of Arizona, Joseph P. St. Louis focuses his practice exclusively on that area of the law. He is additionally board-certified in DUI defense law by the National College for DUI Defense, Inc. An attorney at Nesci & St. Louis, PLLC, and based in Tucson, Mr. St. Louis provides representation to clients throughout the state of Arizona.

Mr. St. Louis has acted as defense counsel in nearly 200 jury trials during his distinguished career. The types of charges that he has worked on have included white collar offenses, drug possession and distribution, and violent crimes. Mr. St. Louis has extensive experience with death penalty cases in both state and federal court, and in two consecutive first-degree murder trials he was able to get all murder charges dismissed by the judge. Many other of his clients have benefited by his representation as well, with results, including acquittals and the negotiation of favorable plea agreements with the prosecution.

Mr. St. Louis majored in political science at The University of Arizona and received a Bachelor of Arts with departmental honors in 1984. His legal education was obtained at the University of Arizona College of Law, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1987. A past president of Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice, Mr. St. Louis is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and several other legal groups.
