H. David Blair of Batesville, Arkansas, has practiced law since 1965. His practice is litigation oriented and has covered a wide subject matter spectrum including land and title disputes, death and personal injury cases, business and contract litigation, mineral royalty issues, motor vehicle and aviation cases. He has appeared many times in state and federal courts (including the US Supreme Court) at the trial and appellate levels. He is admitted to practice before the Arkansas Supreme Court, all courts (state and federal) in Arkansas, U.S. Supreme Court, U. S. Tax Court, U.S. Courts of Appeal for the 8th and 10th Circuits and several U.S. district courts.
Blair received a B.A. degree in 1962 from Hendrix College and an LL.B. degree with Honors in 1965 from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville School of Law. Following graduation from law school he was awarded a Teaching Assistantship by the University of Illinois College of Law. He has served on, and been Chairman of, the Arkansas Supreme Court Civil Practice Committee and Civil Jury Instructions Committee. While in law school, he was elected Editor in Chief of the Arkansas Law Review. In 2024 he was inducted into the Arkansas Bar Hall of Fame.
