Robert D. Stroud is a 1968 graduate of Hendrix College, a 1971 graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law and has practiced law in Batesville, Arkansas since 1974. His practice is varied and has included litigation of personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, medical negligence, aviation, mineral rights, and business and contract claims.
He served on the Student Editorial Board of the Arkansas Law Review, as the lawyer for the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, as a Referee for the Arkansas Workers Compensation Commission. After moving to his hometown of Batesville in 1974, Stroud has engaged in private practice. He has served as a Special Justice for the Arkansas Supreme Court in 1989 and was appointed to the Arkansas Board of Law Examiners 2007-2013(chair 2013).
