Details
Will Bond has dedicated his career to representing people injured and wronged in Arkansas and surrounding states. At McMath Woods, he takes on a range of personal injury claims on a contingency fee basis (if no recovery is made, no fee is owed) including but not limited to:
- Automobile and truck wrecks
- Medical malpractice and hospital negligence
- Wrongful death
- People in coverage disputes with their insurance carriers
Mr. Bond received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, in 1992. He pursued his interest in law at the University of Arkansas School of Law, Fayetteville, Arkansas, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 1995. Additionally, he has been admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.
Throughout his career, Bond has secured significant verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients who were injured and families who lost a loved one. Notably, he and Neil Chamberlin achieved a jury verdict of $1,500,000 for a client who suffered severe complications from a Stage IV pressure ulcer acquired during hospitalization. Bond and Bruce McMath obtained a $3,630,000 verdict for a young man electrocuted in Saline County, Arkansas. Furthermore, Bond, Neil Chamberlin and Sam Ledbetter secured a combined verdict and judgment of $1,453,500 for eight families affected by an explosion at a hazardous waste transport facility, which necessitated a community evacuation. Bond, along with Bruce McMath and Sam Ledbetter, also obtained a $6,500,000 verdict on behalf of Army soldier electrocuted in basic training. Shaw Group v. Marcum, 513 F.3d 1061 (8th Cir. Ark. 2008) . Of course, past results do not in any way guarantee future success, and each case is different. Bond is fond of saying that if you ever run across a trial lawyer who has never lost a case, that probably means they have not tried that many cases.
Mr. Bond has previously served on the Board of Governors for the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and is associated with several prominent legal organizations, such as the Arkansas Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association and the Pulaski County Bar Association. Bond is also a member of ABOTA.
Beyond his legal acumen, Mr. Bond is deeply committed to community service. He was an elected member of the Arkansas State Senate from 2017-2020 and a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2003-2008. He is a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church and serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Central Arkansas.
Mr. Bond's compassionate approach and skilled legal services have earned him appreciation from clients and peers. His accolades include an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and recognition in The Best Lawyers in America.
