    Jeffrey L. Kaloustian is the founder of his own firm that is located in Oakland, California.     Boasting a diverse educational background, Mr. Kaloustian first pursued his undergraduate studies at The University of Utah, where he received a Bachelor of Science in geography in 1997. After spending several years as a professional ski patroller in Lake Tahoe and leading wilderness courses for Outward Bound, and then earning a professional certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Nevada, Reno, he went on to attend the University of San Francisco School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2009. While in law school, Mr. Kaloustian served on the USF Law Review, co-chaired the Public Interest Law Foundation and was honored with the USF Pursuit of Justice Award upon graduation. He is admitted to practice before all California state courts and in the United States District Court, Northern Distcrict of California. 

    A past President of the board of directors of Human Rights Advocates, Mr. Kaloustian has a long-standing relationship with the Berkeley-based humanitarian organization. He previously served there as both a fellow and international human rights advocate, the latter of which was followed by advocacy work for the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy.

    Mr. Kaloustian was a founding member of the Austin-based International Center for Mental Health and Human Rights.Mr. Kaloustian is also an active participant in a variety of legal organizations as well, including the Alameda County Bar Association, California DUI Lawyers Association, and the National Lawyers Guild.

    Active in his community, Mr. Kaloustian has volunteered as a mediator at San Francisco's Office of Citizen Complaints and Community Boards and has taught legal literacy in an inner-city Oakland school. He also served as an adjunct professor at University of San Francisco School of Law.
