Attorney Richard T. Drury is a partner at Lozeau Drury LLP in Oakland, California. Over the course of his career, Mr. Drury has successfully represented numerous clients in state and federal court. His matters have involved environmental laws, including the California Environmental Quality Act, Proposition 65 and the state and the Clean Air Act on a state and federal level.

In addition, Mr. Drury is the author of numerous articles and publications on environmental law topics. He is a former adjunct professor of law at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, Golden Gate University School of Law and the former New College of California School of Law.

California Lawyer magazine recognized Mr. Drury for his accomplishments, naming him “attorney of the year” on three occasions. He is the recipient of the Environmental Leadership Award from the Ecology Law Quarterly. Active in The State Bar of California, he is a former executive committee member of the association’s environmental law section and a former co-chair of the association’s environmental law conference.

Mr. Drury graduated magna cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and philosophy from the University of Illinois. He received his law degree from Yale Law School. Before joining Lozeau Drury LLP, he clerked for a California Federal judge, practiced at two other California-based firms and served as legal director of Communities for a Better Environment.
