Admitted to practice in California, Mr. Begun is certified by the Board of Legal Specialization of The State Bar of California in estate planning, trust and probate law. He has been an instructor for the Pleasanton Unified School District, teaching an adult education program, "The ABCs of Wills and Trusts," and he is a former associate professor at John F. Kennedy University College of Law. Mr. Begun has been a guest speaker or panelist on radio and television programs as well as a member of the board of the Tri-Valley Estate Planning Council.

Mr. Begun is active in a variety of community and public service organizations. He is a former member of the board of directors of Hope Hospice Inc., and he has received awards for his pro bono service from The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as well as the The Bar Association of San Francisco.
